We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month at a locally owned establishment in the South Bend area.

Join us Tuesday, April 15th, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at The Lauber at 504 E. LaSalle, South Bend, IN 46617 for a conversation with Organizers for the Community Fridge in the Near Northwest Neighborhood. Ben Lerman, Molly Moon, and Tara Smithson will be sharing the story of one local response to the dual challenges of food waste and food insecurity: the establishment of South Bend's first free-standing community fridge. You'll hear about fridge's beginnings, its development into a more sustainable community resource through partnerships with organizations such as Cultivate Food Rescue, and plans for its growth. With looming cuts to safety net programs such as SNAP, we can commit to community care and help meet each others' most basic needs. Find out how you can get involved!
South Bend Green Drinks began in 2009 with a handful of people gathering together. That handful of people has grown into 20-30 each month. People from all walks of life come together over their common interest in sustainability, the environment, and all things green.
